Sugar Boy (a.k.a. Shug) has been my foster friend for a while. He gets along very well with my other dogs and he enjoys being around people. He has had limited exposure with children but has always been friendly. Sugar is a clinger and wants a lot of attention and affection. He likes to cuddle, eat and sleep (in that order). Shug is a senior and doesn’t have a lot of interest in playing with toys or romping with the other dogs, but he snuggles in with the pack when it’s time to nap. His buddies seem to think Shug is a great place to rest their heads. Sugar Boy is crate trained and housebroken. He sits on command and comes when called. He likes to snoop around in the backyard and will test every tiny hole or crack. He needs a very secure fenced area! Digging under the fence is a big temptation. Even though Sugar Boy isn’t very playful, he definitely needs to feel part of a pack. He whines if left alone and I believe he needs to live with at least one other canine companion. I named him Sugar Boy because he has the sweetest personality. He’s really an easy dog to live with. Sugar is a huggable, lovable boy and I’ve enjoyed knowing him.
